Joanne, the Mom, is the treasurer.

This a truly a international family affair.

Check out the "Transfer of control" filings (two of them).
Look through the massive number of "Attachments".

Holy. I got bored and jumped down this rabbit hole.

TAPCU Footnote 36 A.pdf was the topping to the cake.

They have also been trying to Bill FEMA, the FCC, for cost related to Keeping a EAS system working. Which.... isnt a thing. Right?

Silent Extension was requested for KVGK-LP

"On November 29, 2022, the Commission (“FCC”) granted Las Vegas Public Radio Inc. (“LVPR”) a
Silent STA request for KIOF-LP 97.9 FM. This Silent STA grant is set to expire on May 28, 2023.

We begin on Pages 201 and 202 of the Telecommunications Act of 19342 in the following section:
SEC. 393. [47 U.S.C. 393] CRITERIA FOR APPROVAL AND EXPENDITURES BY SECRETARY OF
COMMERCE. (c) Of the sums appropriated pursuant to section 391 for any fiscal year, a substantial
amount shall be available for the expansion and development of noncommercial radio broadcast
station facilities
has failed to serve LVPR as the necessary financial resources to continue operating the
KIOF-LP/KVGK-LP 97.9 FM signal beyond the current Silent STA to serve the federally mandated Emergency
Alert System (EAS) and ongoing financial losses at LVPR were seen during COVID-19.

LVPR here files a Silent STA Extension from May 28, 2023 to September 5, 2023."

Do these guys really think the government is going to hand them money?

There's quite a few non-profits that are run by family members, sometimes mom, dad and the kids while they are still children.

They filed under the following name that does not exist:
"Portsonic Communications, LLC Doing Business As LAS VEGAS PUBLIC RADIO INC."

A fictitious name (i.e., "doing business as") in Nevada needs to be registered in the county they are doing business in. Clark County, which encompasses the community of license and any surrounding area they are doing business in, has no record of a Fictitious Name of "LAS VEGAS PUBLIC RADIO INC" connected to "Portsonic Communications, LLC" or any other entity.

I think they're thinking that they can trick the FCC into recognizing a for-profit entity as the licensee by mashing the name of a for-profit corporation with the name of a non-profit corporation together under the guise of "doing business as".

There are a lot of stations in California show having their FTB and/or SOS as SUSPENDED or Forfeited Existence and another 20+ as never having any filings at all.
