FM100 Memphis Bids Farewell As 99.7 The Wolf Moves In
Audacy completed the move of Country "94.1 The Wolf" WLFP Germantown TN to 99.7 WMC-FM replacing Hot AC "FM 100"radioinsight.com
In this day and age, I imagine that someone will. We have known for some time that this was coming. I will be listening online, if at all possible. Hopefully, they can bring back some jocks that I remember, although that would likely be folks from the '70s and '80s.I hope someone will be able to record and post the transitions for both 94.1 and FM 100.
A bigger signal is not going to help the Wolf that already has a decent size signal.
You are right, BigA. They do know how too not make any money. I agree with you ass-essment. Cause Memphis is about to teach Audassy what they can kiss...
WLFP is a mirror of WUSY Chattanooga. Cheapest way to go.That may be. But it appears to be part of an investment they're making in the country format. They had a choice to make between formats, and they made this decision not because of ratings or heritage. What's left? My guess is money.
A station that's been crushing it in Chattanooga for decades. What makes you think a station that sounds like it will fail in Memphis?WLFP is a mirror of WUSY Chattanooga. Cheapest way to go.
I find that interesting for sure. And might I note both iheart and Audacy have great visual real estate space and signs. So they are branding. I think “that” is the take away. Gotta be seen to be seen in Nashville these days. And also, no future need to have visible space on Music (Death) Row.Very creative, Tibbs. You don't get enough credit for how creative you are. You might have a view on this because you're actually in the town where Audacy is investing a lot of money, and yet doesn't own any stations. What's your view on that?

Memphis isn't Chattanooga. Memphis isn't a hotbed for Country music, even though people think it's in the Mid-South, so it MUST be a Country market.A station that's been crushing it in Chattanooga for decades. What makes you think a station that sounds like it will fail in Memphis?
