It was mentioned on here that it’s sold in combo with KXPT, so that helps it out somewhat.
I can’t imagine they’d put a 45 year old format out to pasture like that. Maybe a music tweak to differentiate it more from KYMT?
There is 1 format missing. It may be a 45 year-old format but if it isn't making any money and no one's listening... Does anyone care about the heritage? If an old beloved tree falls in the forest but no one's around to hear it, does it make a sound? I don't know. I also don't know what, in Vegas, is an open format hole. Lots of different variations of classic rock and hits already, current formats are covered, at-work formats, spoken for, country -same deal. More Spanish?
Which is?There is 1 format missing.
If you're hinting at what I think you're hinting at, I wouldn't call it missing but it does appear to be coming soon.Well...
It ain't country.... we got Coyote and Bull, although I do miss Country Legends 790... mainly because Ed couldn't keep a staff for shit, meaning NO ADDS!There is 1 format missing.
Correct. KOMP will be fine. Changes have been made in music and voices. It sounds fine, and serves as a marketing vehicle to target a demo that other stations don't. I really don't see a problem. Vegas is so under-metered that these ratings really need to be taken with a grain of salt. Keep calm and radio on!I highly doubt komp will flip to classic country
Vegas has a higher proportion of meters to the population than LA has. It is not "under metered".Correct. KOMP will be fine. Changes have been made in music and voices.
