Frank Berry has passed. With great sadness and the fondest of memories we are letting the Radio Discussions community know that Frank has succumbed to his cancer. He was a brave fighter to the last moments, alongside his partner and his sister. Frank dedicated his most recent years to this message board and radio community; it remains as his living memorial.

I am so sorry to hear this. I'm grateful for everything he did to keep this community going.
Frank's last wishes were to preserve and grow this community. I'm working with the family on keeping it alive.

OMG so sorry to hear this and in recent days I'd feared we'd have to read this message. Frank seemed to be posting the occasional comment and leaving some "Likes" here and there until just as recently as a few days ago, so I'm hoping he didn't have prolonged suffering. I certainly hope he realized until the end how much genuite warmth and prayers and good thoughts were coming from members of this RD community.

I always appreciated his political viewpoints and occasional snarky comment. When I first signed onto RadioDiscussions, he was the first to "like" one of my comments and welcome me. I never realized until I read his bio here that he had a PhD EE. He probably had enough knowledge and smarts to run rings around many on here who were less learned or informed, yet he never did. That alone shows his humility. RIP, Frank!

Oh, no... R.I.P., Frank.

Condolences to the family *and* to the radiodiscussions.com staff.

So saddened to hear of Frank's passing. I know how much he loved this community. Condolences to his family. RIP Frank.
In talking today with his family, I realized even more how deeply he loved radio. His dedication to this board reflected his wish for both radio "fans" and "pros" to come together and learn from each other and share news, information and some good old gossip about broadcasting.
