Syndication for 2024-25

WCCB could have used The Conners this year to fill the “Black-ish” hole since the “TBA” starting September 11 means it is leaving their weekday schedule, if not syndication altogether. Don’t know why Carsey-Werner took so long to get a deal done. This year would have been the perfect year for it to enter broadcast syndication, with the writers strike threatening the scripted season and all.

From Chicago TV Blog TDOGMEDIA.com

"New to Chicago audiences – albeit at 1:40 a.m. on CBS 2 (WBBM-TV) is Tegna’s Daily Blast Live, airing on the Virginia-based chain of local stations it owned since 2015. It’s the first top-four major market clearance for the show although this doesn’t appear to be a CBS O&O deal. Daily Blast replaces little-known health-and-lifestyle series The Balancing Act."

"Also new is Court Cam (11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on The U), basically off-network A&E reruns of wild courtroom antics hosted by Dan Abrams."

"In addition to what was mentioned the above, other syndicated shows not returning include weekday strips Relative Justice, Forensic Justice, reruns of Judge Jerry, The Carbonaro Effect, and Impractical Jokers, and off-net episodes of the most recent version of Magnum P.I., which is being replaced in its weekend time slots with the newer version of The Equalizer starring Queen Latifah, locally over CBS 2 here effective Sept. 16. Magnum was canceled by NBC earlier this summer."

That should go on the 2023-24 board.

I didn't know Judge Judy's contract is up in 2024 I thought that would keep on going forever. I had a feeling that Judy Justice was going to go into syndication it was pitched last winter for 2023 or 2024 launch. WZZM had Judge Judy forever other than season 1 which WXMI Fox17 had the first season in 96-97 year. Nexstar Wood TV, WOTV, Sinclair WWMT, Scripps Fox17, or TEGNA WZZM that still airs the Judge Judy reruns at 10AM to 11AM & 4PM to 5PM.

I thought it would go on for along time to as they show it 7 days a week on Fox 17 in Des Moines right now. Fox 17 has aired Judge Judy when it launched but there was a brief time it aired for awhile on KPWB 23 when it was a WB affiliate but when it became a CW affiliate I think Judge Judy returned to Fox 17 again.

The Drew Barrymore Show renewed for season 5

shocking despite the social media outcry during the strikes as well as not allowing people wearing "WGA Strong" merchandise to the CBS Broadcast Center in New York.

Not surprised that Jennifer Hudson Show is renewed kinda surprised that Wood TV went with Sherri over JHUD replacing Rachael Ray in 2PM to 3PM timeslot this past fall. JHUD is on WXSP/CW6 10AM to 11AM on CW6 & 5PM to 6PM on WXSP. JHUD was on WXMI Fox17 in it's first season surprised that Scripps got rid of it when they made such a big deal getting JHUD.

Debmar-Mercury's Family Feud will likey renewed on Fox Televison Stations and CBS News and Stations for 2024-25 season. In addition, there are switched affiliations in four markets upcoming 26th season: Dallas, TX., moving to KTXA; Phoenix, AZ., moving to KUTP; Minneapolis, MN., moving to WFTC; and Seattle, WA., moving to KZJO.
