This may come as a surprise to some, but MTV still does its annual Video Music Awards. They aired Tuesday night, and for the first time in a few years, the ratings improved over the previous year. Likely because of the appearance by Taylor Swift:

Most people used social media. I haven't seen the statistics, but I imagine a lot more watched it that way.

They have for the CMT Awards. You'd think with the writer's strike that they'd need the content.

it's simple, Paramount Global sold their shares off along with Warner Brothers Discovery to Nexstar thus no more VMAs on CW. i'm surprised it didn't air on CBS along with all the Paramount Global linear cable networks besides the MTV branded networks.
