Is Tom FM even audible in Wilmington? It's a tiny Dover signal. With JBR leaving us, wonder if I Heart will flip 92.9 Tom FM to AC?
Well, that thought is out the window. How well is 1510/96.9 doing bumping WXCY's bottom line? Forever could break simulcast and give the signals the "Happy" AC treatment.
iHeart had swapped WDSD and WRDX many years ago. Back in 2007 I believe, they moved (What was then "The River" from the bigger 94.7 signal to 92.9 and bumped WDSD from the smaller 92.9 to the bigger 94.7. (This was after already moving WDSD from 94.7 originally to 92.9 back in the 90s).Well, that thought is out the window.
I'd probably say keep an eye on 92.9. Considering how far south the JBR signal went into Delaware, it might be an opportunity for iHeart to throw on some fresh paint. The signal alone would not be much to get into office buildings around Wilmington proper, but it might help Kent County listeners a bit... unless they swap 92.9 and 94.7, but I also wouldn't bet on that if WDSD's numbers are solid.
I don't think either of those iHeart Dover signals will make a play at Wilmington.
