WGTK, Earth FM sold to EMF

Rejoice 96.9/WGTK-HD3 has also flipped. Choirs singing hymns and prayers that sound like they’re from a church service. No idea what this is.
The HD info for 94.5 is still showing the Answer logo and text. No RDS or HD info on 95.5.

The closest probability for 94.5 hd 3 and 96.9 was the truth network with signals mostly in North Carolina. Its not BBN Family radio GNN VCY or Rejoice radio networks. Its a simlucast of 93.7 out of Lynchburg, just heard the legal ID. Its tied to Salem and Stu Epperson

That would lake sense. Truth Broadcasting is owned by the Eppersons who were very involved with Salem. Gong is still banging on 103.3 at 2am…
i got 94.5 hd2 playing on the radio in the other room but was streaming Air 1 from the Earth FM site and heard the legal ID and they promoted 95.5 for Anderson and 103.3 for Greenville and Spartanburg. I about to stream Cbs Sports radio and go to sleep. Im so glad K Love is filling a big gap between the Atlanta charlotte and Columbia signals.
On the webcast, I heard a legal ID for WLTE, and then simply "103.3 Greenville Spartanburg" with no mention of their callsign. They must be placing a separate on ID each individual station.
I live in Charlotte now and can no longer receive WRTH's over-the-air signal. I assume the ID must be the opposite on 103.3; the webcast is clearly relaying 95.5.
Sorry I'm a little late to this discussion. I regularly listened to Earth FM when I lived in Spartanburg. I especially enjoyed the banter between Craig Debolt and Action Jackson on the afternoon show. Since I moved to Charlotte last year I haven't had as many opportunities to listen during the week, although I still made a point to listen to the old Casey Kasem countdowns every Sunday.

Well the 94.5 HD2 has flipped to Christmas Music and its RDS is displaying the song titles. I tought maybe i just missed the WRTH calls in that legal Id. K Love remains on the WGTK website but the Earth website and 94.5 HD2 is airing christmas music temporarily according to Criag Debolt on the earth facebook.
uNTIL 6:23 every song title started with the word Christmas but now they are airing songs that the title starts with the letter D. I was hoping EMF would air Air 1 on 94.5 hd2 but then again His Radio Z is my favorite station up here and I like His Radio and K Love way better than the current aIR 1

Awesome job! I agree with everything you said. While not everything Earth FM did was my cup of tea, there’s no denying the effort and professionalism that was put in by all of the staff involved. Craig always went above and beyond but the last month showed just how much he loved Earth and the listeners. Absolute class act. Same for the rest of the staff that remained. I grew up listening to everyone on Earth FM at various other stations and it’s very sad so many market icons are off the air now. Other notable mentions to Tim Holland, the late KC Carson and Sheri Taylor (now of Magic) who all left their mark as well.
94.5 is very loud and it’s still displaying RDS and HD info from The Answer. No RDS on 95.5 and HD info is still blank. 103.3 has RDS and the genre has changed to Top 40 but it’s not loading very consistently.
Air 1 has a lot more DJ banter than the jukebox 103.9 which is essentially the same format. Not something I’ll be listening to but at least there’s a little life on it.
I noticed a typo that I said in my last post above. Meant to say "After so many years now there's so many tears."

EMF plays out its legal IDs for both K-Love and Air 1 from automation players at each individual transmitter site.
Each local ID contains the legal ID for that transmitter and a mention (without calls) of at least one neighboring signal, or a mention of the frequency list on the website if there is no neighboring signal.
That's what you're hearing on 95.5 - and if you tune to 103.3 you'll hear the reverse, with the legal ID for 103.3 and a mention of 95.5 at the end.
That makes sense, Scott. I actually had that thought before I saw your post. I was just thinking 103.3/95.5 would be a simulcast but it makes sense EMF would feed each individually separate of each other.
I noticed on 94.5 the songs sort of cut out/in around the legal ID, no crossfade/fade. I’ve heard this on other K-LOVE stations but I thought it was the webstream.
Bad tropo from Atlanta today, 103.3 was getting hammered by WVEE until the GVL city limits and WSBB was trying to interfere with 95.5. That’s what’s messing the RDS on 103.3 up, it’s working like it should. Still no update on 94.5/95.5.

103.3 isn’t running a TOH ID. Listened twice and just heard regular liners. There was bad tropo this morning that seems to have subsided but the signal still doesn’t seem as strong as Earth FM’s did on 103.3. I always got RDS but can’t get it anymore in the exact same location.

and those Eppersons are related to the people who founded Salem, as i recall.
Right now Craig has airchecks of shows. Still sad to see Earth FM as we know it gone. Wish I had the money, and resources to put up a net station honoring Earth FM. Un fortunately I'm just trying to stay healthy, and out the hospital avoiding more glorious amputation.
