Cleveland TV Revolving Door

He also appears on Fox Weather (channel 373 on Spectrum Cleveland), as does Jason Frazer, another WKYC alumnus.
Jon Loufman has retired after 31 years in Cleveland television. 20 of which has been at WOIO/WUAB.
That explains why Meredith Garofalo was brought in.
Loufman is one of the few to achieve the Cleveland TV Grand Slam - working in all 4 TV newsrooms in town (WKYC, WEWS, WJW, WOIO/WUAB)

Meredith posted on LinkedIn that she is freelancing with the 19 First Alert weather team in November and December. Also, it appears that she was brought in only a week prior to Jon's retirement. While his retirement is not surprising, the timing seems sudden. In similar situations, a permanent replacement would have already been hired, and occasionally filling in prior to Jon's departure from the station.
Katie Wilson has left WOIO/WUAB to join her husband in Columbus. She's also having a baby and is getting out of the broadcasting industry.
DaLaun Dillard is leaving WEWS next month. He announced it on his Facebook page today.
Anthony Copeland has joined WKYC as their new weather guy for weekend evenings replacing Jason.
Coming over from KETV ABC 7 in Omaha.
Brings up a good point. Whatever happened to his "exciting news" he mentioned in the late Spring?
Payton Domschke has announced on her Facebook page she is leaving WKYC and her last day is Friday. She was a meteorologist for the past two years.
She's from Chicago, so take that for what it's worth.
Looks like Jessica Van Meter is probably sticking around then on the weekend AM newscasts.

Tessa Dittiro, who just came aboard last year as a reporter is now the new weekend AM anchor, taking over for Damon Maolney, who is now on weekdays.
Also Michelle Jarboe has been signed as a new reporter. This is actually her first TV gig, as her background had been in print (Plain Dealer, Crain's)
With all the comings and goings recently, let's reset who is manning the anchor chairs over at TV 5:

Matt's main gig was supposed to be working the 5p and 11p news after WKYC reset their anchor teams last fall,
However life kinda intervened - first he was off for a few weeks for paternity leave after his wife had a baby, and as soon as he came back from that, Hollie Strano had her issues, and he had to go to mornings to hold down that fort while she's in "timeout".
