Let's see...Payton Domschke looking quite nice this evening.
Chutes and Ladders?I'd like to play something else with them.
Nelson's gone.WOIO has added Mike Mason from Alaska as an investigative reporter. He started last month.
Meanwhile, Jim Nelson hasn't been on 19 since August.
Sounds like she'll also be an anchor as well, perhaps taking the weekend PM gig from McCarthy, who then was merely a placeholder.
So where has Nelson gone?Nelson's gone.
Caitlin McCarthy has taken over as weekend evening anchor.
Mason joins Sara Goldenberg on 19/43's investigator team.
Free agent. So where has Nelson gone?
He seemed like a good reporter. I wonder if he left on his own. I've been watching more of 19 News at 10:00 as opposed to Fox 8 as I can't stand some of the I-Team reports which seem to repeat the same old stuff and try to make it look interesting.Free agent.
Jason has emerged as morning meteorologist on WBZ in Boston.Apparently, Jayson Michael is leaving WKYC They just bid him farewell in Front Row Friday.
I don't even bother watching News 5 at 4, as it's nothing but a bunch of Scripps News produced stories replayed with the News 5 branding. Guess whoever anchored that time slot was cut during the last set of layoffs?Guess there was a bunch of layoffs at Scripps stations again according to FTVlive. Wonder if WEWS lost more?
Katie Ussin has been anchoring the 4p news for awhile now (and also does the 5p with Delaun Dillard).I don't even bother watching News 5 at 4, as it's nothing but a bunch of Scripps News produced stories replayed with the News 5 branding. How many people do they need over there? Good heavens!More new blood at WOIO CBS 19/WUAB CW 43:
Meredith Garofalo has been brought in as a meteorologist/science reporter.
She's a local (native of Parma, graduate of Trinity High), has the AMS seal, came over from NY1 in NYC (their version of Spectrum News), and cut her teeth in small markets before that.
For now, she's a Swiss Army knife, filling in and tag teaming at the weather desk to get her feet wet, plus doing some science stuff on the side.
Between 19 and 43, Reserve Square pumps out 12 hours of live local newscasts per weekday (which is even more than Fox 8's 11 1/2 hours) - they need bodies to keep things moving. How many people do they need over there? Good heavens!
Dobeck has been anchor first, weather on the side for awhile now. She only does the weather every so often these days (probably just to keep the skills sharp as a fill-in).Does Meredith's hire mean Kelly Dobeck moves to news anchoring full-time?
