Post your latest DX

For you Shortwave DXers, I've noticed something interesting about Radio Nacional de Amazonias

They're LISTED on till 0300 but ever since the start of A23 or about the time change in the US, theyd been going off at 0200.

I surmise that may have been, at one point, because China had an 11780 00-01 and 02-03 at some point.

Well, the last 3 nights, ive heard 6180 and 11780 Brazil sail past the 0200 usual sign off and in fact, sail way past the 0300 sign off.. staying on till about 0330 or so.. though i havent been at my radio exactly when they go off, so i cant say for sure.

But they are my current favorite SW station so ive been paying them close attention.

Why are they your current favorite SW station? What’s their format?

TX, MX, ID, WY and WA in AK Tonight

1490 KYNR Toppenish, WA at 704pm AK 2-14-24 with native american chanting/singing weakly heard for about a minute. That's all that made it through the mush.

1270 KTFI Twin Falls, ID at 656pm AK 2-14-24 with an ad looking for volunteers, a 3 minute feature from a reverend, then a station ID. Pretty strong and clear at times.

1570 XERF Ciudad Acuna, Coahulia, MX (Del Rio, TX) at 701pm AK 2-14-24 with music and station id. VERY strong at times!

1030 KTWO Casper, WY at 719pm AK 2-14-24 with UW Cowboy Basketball

1200 WOAI San Antonio, TX 717pm AK 2-14-24 with ad by Jesse Kelly for Patriot Mobile

With CKST Vancouver off the air indefinitely, I picked up WHO Des Moines, IA in Mount Vernon, WA last night. Another "coast to coast" signal caught.....

KFBK appears to be off just before 11pm pacific time Feb 15th….Nothing gets passed them at my Alaska QTH when they’re on with 125KW ERP pointed right at me, KFBK is S9+70 or better here, all night.

Well, had some Spanish music coming in loud and clear for several minutes and heard several mentions of La Raza, which makes this KZNX Creemoor, TX(Austin) and a new log for me!

Tef6686 Radio, Dx engineering preamp and 15 foot wellbrook loop

On 1530 for like 7 mins outside of my brothers in Vallejo on my Sangean DT-200X, Can't stand the noice in the house

Heard very fainty ESPN & iHeart fading in & out, Just Can't be, Just can't...I'm to far looking for a ID, But KFBK at 12:18am is back on

WCKY Cincinnati, OH. There's no other sports station on 1530

KSKO 89.5 McGrath, Alaska via 9400khz Spaceline Bulgaria at 1635UTC Feb 16th as they test some modulation stuff and new gear

Paul...KPUR Amarillo is really impressive. I've yet to pick that one up even with the elimination of KMED. Normally I get CKJR Wetaskiwin AB with sports, along with KVON Napa.

WCKY from Vallejo is awesome - great going! They can often be heard on night pattern with KFBK phased into the ground. I have also heard KGBT TX in the past at night, but it's been years. XEUR Mexico City is still on the wanted list.

Shortly before 1:00 pm EST, I received World Music Radio from Mårslet, Denmark on 25800 KHz in Clifton, NJ. I heard two songs. The first one was in Spanish, possibly from Mexico, and the other was a Reggae song. Reception was mostly weak with moments of fair reception. World Music Radio is about 3,742 miles (6,026 km) away from me.

WMR on 25800 is less than 100 watts!

I've heard WMR on 15700 here in alaska... its 300 watts into a 3 element antenna, beamed at 180 deg az. due south from the TX site in Denmark.

I've seen WMR's power on 25800 listed under three different sources (60 watts, 100 watts and 200 watts). I used the one from MWList, which is 100 watts. Do you know which one is correct?

They have a facebook page, where they post current power... pretty sure 25800 is under 100 watts, either 60 or 80. I think WMR is licensed for several hundred but doesnt run the max

When I had my old loop antenna, if I turned it a certain direction with the capacitor just below 1530khz, I could take KFBK down to a quite weak signal, and dig WCKY out of it...one time even had KGBT Harlingen.
