I first posted about the mysterious station playing classical guitar music (and some classical piano) on 730 am on February 10. I continue to hear this station in west central Georgia every evening and early morning including tonight (March 2). The station never identifies itself or has any spoken words. Just the same classical guitar music over and over.
I traveled to the South Carolina coast for a few days last week and heard the station there at night but the signal was weaker. While traveling across Georgia during the day I did not hear the station. I tried to pick up the only regional 730 am (WSTT from Thomasville GA) and check their programming (they usually air religious programming) but I could not hear it. I did hear a weak signal with spoken voices on 730 am in east Georgia which I believe was WLTQ from Charleston SC with religious programming.
I find it odd that a station would run this type of programming for over three weeks. I'd like to know what purpose this type of broadcast serves. If anyone else can hear this station, please let me know.
Thanks to Mitch Brewer who reported hearing it in Loganville GA and gr8oldies who heard it on the Atlanta SDR a few weeks ago.
