And, as of a few hours ago, K294CW was still on the air interfering with KFUE. But, then again, KASA isn't really known for playing by the rules.
That would be a wasted expenditure in my opinion with almost no chance of success.

KFUE = K-fooey? Who is the genius who thought that up?
Been through this upthread - the station's brand, en Espanol, is "FUEgo." Whatever the calls might appear to spell in English are of no importance to the owner or the target audience.
Yes it could be K-Fuego, in reference to our first 120 degree day of the summer. Or it could be the past tense of "to be" in Spanish, fue = was. KASA's translator fue interfering with KFUE's Class A signal. All this espanol is making Nurse Jeff and me hungry for a big bowl of menudo and a couple Modelos!

They didn't get far with the first one before one of the pushrods messed up its associated rocker. It's got another Hemi in it now.
I looked at the Google Streetview of KASA's licensed site. It looked pretty clean.
If only the Houston engineer sent the ailing transmitter back to KASA in this Gremlin, they wouldn't have lost their license!

I personally know much of the talent that is at KASA, for some time I had the opportunity to work with its general director and he is a great person, talented and creative. I am very sorry for how far this legal avalanche with the FCC has come.
The Hispanic concept, which has 106.7, had good bases for the Spanish market in Phoenix, because many Latin inhabitants are related to the populations of Sonora (Mexico), as is also the case in Tucson.
I regret that the on-air talents that are on that station were in important places like Hermosillo, on national networks like MVS Radio, let's hope they can appeal and try to recover their frequencies.

Both the AM and FM are dead gone and buried.. revoked, sionora.. if theyre still on air, they shouldnt be
a loss for that team, from a local radio
Although "fue" in Spanish means "it was" or "it went" (with "it" being the appropriate pronoun in this example).
Time and again, the ownership of KASA has shown they're not worthy of having a broadcast license and defying the FCC (I can think of other local licensees that should't have them either). It doesn't matter if the programming is trying to target a certain community or not.
Also, we've got to question of who's controlling the licensee too. I thought Moises Herrera was in poor health.
