The best example of that was during the first two decades of all sports WFAN in New York City. It never seemed to be above 15th in 12+ Arbitron ratings... but it was the highest billing station in the market. All men, all 25-54. Few teens and women, and much less 55+ than other mostly male formats like AOR back then.I'd still rather see demo breakouts than make faulty guesses based on 6+ numbers.
It would be interesting to see how KYLD did in every demo. From teens, 18-34, 18-49, 25-54, and 55+Generally speaking, Research Director only reports the top seven or eight stations in each demo, and only goes deeper if there are ties around #7 and #8.
With that said, WiLD is likely to be somewhere below #10.
