KXEG is now running the MeTV Music format, nothing en español. Rimshot KRPH 99.5 is joining as a KXEG simulcast station. It appears DDK294CW has no options (and no license).

It's not a direct simulcast.. each station runs its own logs and the same people are involved in both stations, as i understand, to some extent
I was listening to KRPH yesterday, and I did hear a mention of "1280 AM and 96.1 FM," so it could be some kind of simulcast. Right now, KRPH seems to be simulcasting the Spanish-language format of KNNR in Sparks, NV, which is now co-owned with KXEG, as they figure out how to get a stable feed of KXEG's programming (preferably in full stereo I hope - yesterday it seemed to just be passing through one channel of stereo audio). KXEG seems to be having issues with dead air and glitching at times as well.
KRPH's engineer is out at the site, they have starlink and the feed is coming in over the internet i read.. which theyve had issues with.

Are you actually able to 'hear' KRPH? They have been broadcasting with only 5 watts from a rooftop antenna on a single story building in Morristown. Owner Jeff Chang has been trying to find a suitable site for the transmitter.
And he is trying to find a buyer as well, the station is listed with a broker.
I thought I heard he was able to get back on the Yarnell tower, and is broadcasting at its licensed power. It is audible in the SW Valley. Yes, the station is listed for sale, but they need to air something to keep that license going (and to provide those living in the NW Valley retirement communities something else to listen to for the time being).

True. It's most likely a time brokerage agreement with KXEG's owner to provide that station with a little better coverage than their 96.1 translator can do. Kind of like what KIKO-FM tried to do with KRPH's previous licensee.
They resumed licensed operations on 7/29.
So now FOUR doing Oldies in the valley (KAZG/KOAI/KXEG/KIKO)! And making little to no money doing it. It's a struggle for even one to survive in a large city, if there is even an Oldies outlet available.

KRPH/KXEG are just doin it to keep the body luke warm, just slightly above dead level..... and this was probably easy.
My gut feeling is that KIKO-FM will change formats once the new owners take over.
i thought the new owners already took over?
WEre talking like it matters whats on 1280/96.1/KRPH and it really doesnt.. what theyre doing now has no bearing on anything in the future
