As mentioned, while InsideRadio lists Luna as being a Mets broadcaster, RadioInk
and RBR.com
(
MediaCo Taps Estrella Team For Twin HD2 Station Launches | Radio & Television Business Report) are saying it will be a NY Jets broadcaster.
(RBR appears to be re-reporting the RadioInk article, however.)
Being as the Mets broadcasts are an Audacy property and the games already appear on an Audacy HD2 (WINS-HD2-92.3),
granted on an incompatible format ("Alt 92.3"), there seems no need to move the Mets
unless Audacy wants to protect the "Alt 92.3" brand ("a sarcastic roar goes up from the crowd!").
Unless there will be a similar deal in place as with Audacy's Mets airing on Audacy's 880 (leased by Good Karma Brands).
The NY Jets, however, have been looking for an outlet to broadcast their Spanish language broadcasts that (years ago) aired on 1050 ESPN Deportes.
With the Jets jettisoning Good Karma from the English language side in favor of iHeart's Q104.3,
maybe there
could be an opening to resume the Spanish language broadcasts.
