This year, nearly 50% of consumers will start their holiday shopping as early as August and September, as people remain price-conscious and plan ahead to maximize their holiday budgets. To meet customers where and how they’re shopping, Walmart will offer customers a holiday head start with savings starting in October, including its first Holiday Deals event of the season and the return of its inflation-free holiday meal – weeks earlier than previous years.
I'm a redneck woman
I ain't no high class broad
I'm just a product of my raising
I say, "hey y'all" and "yee-haw"
And I keep my Christmas lights on
On my front porch all year long.

Well that will ramp up more after Election Day. On the radio side expect AC’s stations to flip their OTA’s to Christmas music between Election Day to Thanksgiving day.
They dropped the preview a month ago for “Holiday Touchdown”, the Hallmark Chiefs Christmas movie filmed around KC, even though it doesn’t air until the end of November. So I’m not surprised Hallmark is already starting to play Christmas movies now.
I sometimes feel that they do nothing else in the first nine months of the year besides create more such movies for their library.
I have to admit that my wife and I found a Hallmark movie starting yesterday and I recognized Catherine Bell, who I had liked from the JAG series (I am revealing rather lowbrow and mundane testes in entertainment) and we started watching. It was well done, but with the acting much better than the writing... which was sometimes hard for the good principle actors to overcome.Very true. Those movies are made with theatrical quality. They sometimes go on location to shoot them. To get the snow in the background, they have to shoot in the winter, so they're shooting in February for a movie that will air in the fall.

Who's in the mood for Christmas in October though? Couldn't they wait a bit longer? I notice a few streaming services have a very tiny amount of Christmas movies in October (Deck the Halls on Starz, Scrooged on P+), but most don't start being on them until November. Elf is on TBS on November 2nd, which still seems too soon to start.By which time -- to get back on-topic -- Hallmark will be on their second or third replays of some of their Christmas movie library.
Where’s your a few months before Christmas spirit?I'm rolling my eyes already.

Some of the simplistic, happy ending stories are fun no matter when. Even if the event takes place in the Christmas season, if the story is engaging it is entertaining to watch any time of the year.Who's in the mood for Christmas in October though? Right. Probably not in the Hallmark lineup, but "Home Alone" is fun even if you're watching it in October, and The Sandlot is a fine movie outside of baseball season. Some of the simplistic, happy ending stories are fun no matter when. It is still currently in hell for Halloween.🎃Where’s your a few months before Christmas spirit?![]()
