even the underperforming Giants and Cowboys that they always shove down our throats will still get high numbers, they could put pre season games on Thanksgiving and they'd still get high numbers
Never heard of this before. There was also a Hawaii parade. It wasn't Thanksgiving without hula dancers.
Of course, it was still dark in Hawaii at the time, so that and the quick jumps between entries proved it wasn't live. In fact, I think it was taped in September.Never heard of this before.
The CBS parade coverage, at least years ago, would be from several cities along with the Macy’s coverage. There was some non-Thanksgiving celebration or event in Hawaii that was recorded well in advance and integrated into the overall broadcast. Anyone know what the Hawaii event was?Of course, it was still dark in Hawaii at the time, so that and the quick jumps between entries proved it wasn't live. The Texans haven't been around many years. Have they? For many years battle an NFC North Foe 2020 played the Texans
Yeah, that's a bit much. I'm sure most people who want to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade would watch NBC anyway. It was good back when CBS would go across the country to show other parades, but not worth watching if all it's showing is just the NYC parade.CBS turned themselves into trolls. This is total robbery.
Heck, CBS may have forgotten it was on by the last few years. 😆Until this thread I had forgotten it was on CBS, I always watched the NBC broadcast.
CBS never had a contract with Macy’s. They were showing a parade on a public street. In this morning's "Reliable Sources" newsletter, Brian Stelter says NBC renewed its contract for the Macy's parade at triple the previous rate. Macy's probably tried to hike the secondary coverage rate for CBS and that prompted CBS' decision.
1999 they started. The Texans haven't been around many years. Have they?

I think I started a thread about this last year if you search for it.I didn't realize (because I always watched NBC) that there was no deal with Macy's. Apparently, CBS couldn't even call it "Macy's".
