Cleveland Radio Nov 24 Ratings

A lot of the stations were down compared to the previous month, except for a few. It will be interesting to see how the Christmas music stations perform.

It's nice that they can break it down that way, but I wonder if it would be more meaningful to show ranking based on the composite number?

They, meaning Nielsen, break it down "that" way because the broadcast signal and the stream have different content. To be listed together, a stream and a station must be a 100% simulcast. The two you mention are not.

And remember, Nielsen produces ratings for ad agencies. Not for stations, not for listeners.

The fact WTAM got a big bump (with WHK getting a small bump) and WKSU took a big hit kinda lets you know how the election went.

Are you talking about JazzNEO?-because the stream and the station are a 100% simulcast

How does Nielsen gather streaming listener data? Do they use the people meters with the stream having its own encoder or do they use internet figures of how many are latched on or is it a diary thing?
And when and why would a station stream differ from ota? I thought simulcast content problems were ironed out some time ago with the exception of certain sporting events.

I think it also has something to do with the ads being different on the stream.

None of the iHeart stations separate their streams - they all subscibe to Total Line Reporting. And all of the spotbreaks are different on the stream. Meanwhile the Audacy stations separate their listings between OTA and streaming, as do others.
