Chicago December Ratings

No surprise for WLIT as listeners love their Christmas music. 100.3 continues to do poorly despite its rebranding as Throw Back. AM radio continues to struggle. Back in the day, WGN was the king of the ratings game followed by The Big 89. Wondering if we will see any flips in 2025?

I don’t know why but I can see 100.3 flip again. I know they just flipped but I got a feeling their new VP will do something to the station.

WTBC is ahead of WBBM-FM and WCHI at least in this 6+ book. Will be interesting to see how things settle after the holidays.

Also: I thoroughly enjoyed WDRV's Yacht Rock Christmas - perfect listening on my drive back from Wisconsin. They covered the genre well.

What an interesting response to the "all Christmas" period! If you are not going for the female Christmas audience, go with a focused music selection that the male listeners to AC might enjoy and which can be easily promoted.
