Another new country last night! The absolute first station I got with my new RCA antenna rotator was ZNS-3, 810 AM, Nassau. All I had ever heard (day or night) on 810 was WGY, which tends to come in strong, but I found a very small null with the rotator which allowed other things to come in. It is very interesting that the most important feature of this new device will not be to get the strongest signal (by pointing right at a certain station), but rather to null out other signals.
Now the ID said "The National Voice of the Bahamas", and 104.5 FM was mentioned, which would seem to point to ZNS-1--as did the programming, pretty lively dnace/club music. Does anyone know if ZNS-3 is no longer carrying its own content (it was "the Light")? This was about 10:20PM last night, so maybe they switch over programming on Sat night?
And to add a cherry on top, as I kept listening, another new station was logged, WHB Kansas City. Looking forward to more live listening now that I can rotate the antenna and get some stronger nulls that I did not know existed.
I tried getting 1540 AM ZNS-1 directly, but WCKY, Cincy, being only 68 miles away, just did not want to be nulled...will keep trying of course.
