They preempted that for this?

WBZ in Boston is airing a special half-hour episode of Patriots All Access this Friday January 17th.

Wheel was supposed to return to the main WBZ channel on Fridays starting this week but there's been a slight change in scheduling and the PGA Farmers Open is airing next week on that channel so this means Wheel will return to WBZ on Fridays at 7pm ET on January 31st.

Tonight Saturday Night Live is possibly not airing in Rochester, MN
Today from 8pm to tomorrow at 1pm KTTC (NBC) is showing the annual Rochester Eagles Cancer Telethon. From 1-4 tomorrow it will be on KTTC-DT2 CW. I looked at multiple listings online and none show other than tomorrow’s last bit being on CW any changes. So SNL might not be in Rochester OTA
(It may be on CW and it’s not listed)

#S-8106 did not air on WABC New York, WLS Chicago, or WTVD Raleigh due to impromptu local newscasts. This affects contestant Charles who is from the Chicago area. WPVI was the only East Coast ABC O&O to air Wheel today.

7:30 FOX airings also did not air in their entirety due to the college basketball game running over. There were about 4 minutes left on the clock just before 7:30.

There have been at least a dozen contestants so far this season who couldn't watch their own episode in their own mark

Nobody has mentioned when KSL, a NBC affiliate owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, did not air Saturday Night Live for many years.
WSYR-TV Syracuse (now WSTM) didn't run SNL until, I believe, its third season. It was a Newhouse station back then and management apparently had reservations about the show's content.

a lot of programming on the local and national level was interrupted by the breaking news coverage of last night's tragic mid-air collision with a American Airlines Jet and a Blackhawk Helicopter at the airport in Washington DC that resulted in no survivors and both aircraft crashing into the Potomac River near the airport.

After Midnight on CBS was interrupted on the east coast for a press conference related to the crash and resumed after that, some stations might have opted to join in progress to end it or carry the show as they left of as it went to ad break right before the CBS News Special Report broke in and it further messed things up as i think some stations including KTVT in Dallas interrupted the show with a mistimed ad break as it was still pre-programmed for the intended "Local ad break" time.

Meanwhile in Dallas, yet another Dallas Mavs game simulcast aired on WFAA 8 & KFAA 29 was aired as planned and WFAA opted to keep the game airing and post game instead of breaking into the game to carry ABC News' special report that aired during ABC Primetime programming which aired at the time the news was breaking.

Minneapolis this weekend pushes some programming to FOX9+ (WFTC My29) as they will have the Gopher hockey games on KMSP FOX 9
Friday...Gopher hockey on FOX 9, basketball moves to FOX9+ and the North Dakota/St Cloud State hockey is on after the basketball game tape delayed
Saturday...Gopher game on FOX 9, North Dakota/St Cloud on after it on FOX 9. Gymnastics and college basketball late game on FOX 9+

Why?

The Savannah, GA CBS affiliate WTOC (then owned by Raycomm, now owned by Gray Television), didn’t air “Late Show with David Letterman” until 12:05AM, rather than 11:35PM after their 11PM news. This went on for at least two years past the show’s 1993 debut.

They instead opted to air a rerun of “M*A*S*H*”. Years and years later, I found out from some that worked at the station at that time, that the General Manager of the station and many above him HATED Letterman, and didn’t want to air the show. Which is stupid and also hilarious because Letterman beat Leno for a while after his CBS debut, especially for that first year.
