I turned on the Wednesday 2/19 5 p.m. newscast just as the anchors were wishing Emma good luck as that was her last newscast. I didn't hear what her future plans are.
And in other news, I didn't know Michael Raimondi is married to ABC15's Amelia Fabiano. He works weekend evenings/nights, she works weekend mornings. At least they have weekdays together!

I'm thinking promoting an internal team member and hire a new external reporter. Got to learn how to say Mogollon and Prescott before sitting on the desk full time.

What they need to do is replace Emma with a weather forecaster, because -- you know -- you can never have enough weather forecasters in Arizona!
Given how most of the large tv groups are cutting back, I'm surprised that Gray has let this weather overload continue at Arizona's Family.
Something tells me that Emma will head to the public sector for her next gig. That seems to be a common thread with former journalists.

Doubtful. Scripps and Allen are in slash and burn mode. Unless she stays with (or goes back) Gray at KOLD.
Sarah Robinson was anchoring the evening news with Michael Raimondi. She has a great skill level with confidence.
I caught a report this morning on GMAZ by Derek Stahl on the new ASU Medial Building in downtown Phoenix. I thought it was a bit odd to see Derek in the am, but then the ASU President and Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego were there. At the end of the report, Scott said, "Derek, it is good to have you on GMAZ this week!" That was really puzzling. Did Derek anchor the 4:30 to 6am GMAZ and then do the report??? @brian4, were you up?

When 4:30 a.m. GMAZ started, I didn't recognize the teaser voice, definitely wasn't Colton Shone.
Derek said because Colton & David Caltabiano were not available (assuming vacation) he is working GMAZ this week.
I am interested to see how he works out. Simone Cuccurullo could co-anchor with anyone.

Problem is, Cuccurullo looks like she's passing gas on-air whenever she smiles. Just like 'ol Pasmore, the guy who probably hired her. 😳
In short order, they both need to stop smiling. It's killing their business--- and business isn't very good these days. 😑
Excellent move! According to the FB post and comments Michael Raimondi is moving back East to be closer to family. The changes happen at the end of April. Jason's new co-anchor is TBD.
Interesting. As mentioned above, Raimondi is married to ABC15's Amelia Fabiano. She has been the solo weekend morning anchor. Sometimes Jamie Warren subs, she could take over.
Michael is from Boston. If he and Amelia are moving back there, they could get hired together be the modern day Chet Curtis and Natalie Jacobson. Bostonians will get that reference. 😄
I think they need a bit more practice before they get to do the "Chet and Natalie" thing. Maybe on weekend mornings on a Providence station...
