March 2025 Ratings - WXRC is #1 for first time

25-54: 1. WPEG 2. WKQC 3. WFNZ 4. WRFX 5. WBAV 7. WEND
18-34: 1. WRFX 2. WBAV 3T. WOSF, WPEG & WNKS 6T. WSOC, WKKT & WHQC 9. WFNZ 10T. WEND, WLKO & WLNK
18-49: 1. WPEG 2. WBAV 3. WRFX 4. WKQC 5. WNKS 12. WEND

WXRC was #1 in the market 6+ for the first time. I also believe that 7.0 is their highest share ever.

Interesting that WXRC is #1 6+ but doesn’t place in the demos, though I know it is programmed the way it is for a reason. Seems like for classic music, folks in the key demos are turning to The Fox or K.

I’m surprised to see The Lake not pulling better numbers. For a while, they were always near the top. Seems like the shift happened after Christmas music.

This is good news since WXRC's owner also has the 50s and 60s oldies station 63 Big WAYS.

He also has a station playing newer oldies on AM.

It still makes no sense to me that the more adult station is doing better than the hip-hop station with 18-34.

The kids aren't listening is why, Urban is skewing heavy 25-54 by millennials and young Gen X. A lot of Urbans are playing more titles from the late 2000's and 2010's to capitalize on that audience.
