CHRISTMAS IN JULY!

KOEZ in Iowa started doing Christmas in July last week. Unfortunately some of their voice tracks, traffic reports and other stuff sounds like it was recorded with a faulty mic cable. It’s some of the worst audio on a station that I’ve ever heard:

Not quite the same. I was listening to a special show of autumn-themed music. And I heard a Christmas song!

Okay, not Christmas. Anything by Vince Guaraldi sounds like Christmas because he did so many songs for the Christmas special.

This was actually "Great Pumpkin Waltz" from "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". The same song was played on last year's autumn-themed show.

Let me guess, did they also play....Nat King Cole 'September Song', Eva Cassidy 'Autumn Leaves'. But probably not Earth, Wind, and Fire 'September' or Green Day's 'Wake Me Up When September Ends'.

There was at least one version of "Autumn Leaves". I know Roger Williams' was played.

As for the others I don't remember. Definitely not Earth Wind and Fire on that station and very definitely not Green Day.

'Autumn In Rome' Tony Bennett, and/or 'Autumn In New York' Ella Fitzgerald?
