Correcting my earlier post: I should have said the HD Tejano formats on 101.1 and 106.5, not 102.9. Force of habit still there, I guess.

POWER 105.3 GOING AWAY?

only strange thing is that if POWER was moving in 2 weeks i would thing they would be promoting the move.. So they may in fact be going BYE BYE
Tropo has been kicking up. At a recent check of 106.1 it was being battered by KIOC.
Two weeks until August 1 and the supposed move of Radio Vision Latina and whatever fate awaits Power 105.3.
So RADIO VISION LATINA is announcing that they will be on both 105.3 FM and 106.1 FM for the whole month of August to remind everyone that they will be on 105.3 FM for the whole month of August. Also, they said if you are listening to them on 880 A.M. do not worry because they will remain on 880 A.M. as well.
Still no on-air announcements from Power about what is happening?
KJOZ has been off the air for over five weeks. Of course there have been no filings for a Silent Notification or STA. Hector? Hello?
Neither 105.3 or 106.1 currently has an originating station.
Maybe we can't accuse stations here of running overpowered, but we know for sure many of them are on the air with no primary signal and I don't know of another city where this happens ... anyone have any opinion on why nothing has ever been done in Houston?

Apparently, the church isn't listening in on 880. I think they'd be due a refund. I had been wondering about KJOZ, because it's been MIA up in ETX for the better part of a month. Usually, a regular participant on our daytime dial. A little distant, a fair amount of static, but nothing more than an old signal geek can stand. Recently, a bit of slopover from KTXV, which has become more regularly available (in recent months), having experienced a little silence period of its own.
That's never stopped anyone, down there amongst the dusty skyscrapers of the Wild West Bayou City.
Mean while Power updated their facebook page. But seems the same, same picture same logo.

I may be reading too much into this, but there is a part of the logo peeking out from behind the emoji and it looks a lot like the end of the number 5.
On paper? No. But we all know that what's on the paper is treated as a suggestion nowadays 😉. If they're claiming they're gaining more coverage, than it's definitely not going to be 92.5...unless it's "business as usual" at the top of those downtown buildings, if you catchy my drift.
Their new logo only has one frequency, so if Gow is leasing 97.5 to them, then what's going to happen to 92.5?
POWER IS MOVING TO 97.5 - This has been in the works for a while.. Iglesia universal is now paying 65k a month to Lease 105.3 allowing MS Sara To be able to afford to move to 97.5FM
Agree with that, and the first number is definitely a 9. My first thought is one not yet suggested here: 99.5.
There has been nothing said on 97.5 about any change, but yes, this has been one of the strong rumors for quite a while. Supposedly the sports format would continue on 92.5 and 97.9 HD-2.
As noted elsewhere it would be the second coming for “Power 97.5.” The old KRWP call appears to be available.
It'd be interesting to see Hector’s ex-wife strike a deal with him to get Power on 99.5. Surely SDK would try to get Hector to kill off La Calle in such an agreement?
I believe that KFNC becoming Power while Gow keeps ESPN on 92.5 would be the most common sense of these.
