I was thinking "Power 94.5", personally, with el Señor Rod Ryan en la mañana.I, for one, welcome our new "POWER 96.5" overlords.

Sorry T, it is 99.5. The old KSBJ translator in Stafford.Someone else posted this:
Hopefully it isn’t 99.5 that signal is horrible.
But then again 97.5 isn’t much better.
And the one here in Houston too. I think Centro has 3 translators on 99.5.Sorry T, it is 99.5. The old KSBJ translator in Stafford.
The one in Humble was for sure off the air last time I was in the areaAnd the one here in Houston too. I think Centro has 3 translators on 99.5.
Why would any station in Houston want to play salsa?Power 97.5—this time, with salsa & more.
The reference is to Power 105.3’s tendency to lean a bit Tropical at times, but it is not a Salsa station. Not the demographics here. Why would any station in Houston want to play salsa?
Lean? I listened to Power over the weekend and the station aired lots of salsa, a small amount of cumbia and merengue, and reggaetón / pop filled the other 65% of the playlist. The reference is to Power 105.3’s tendency to lean a bit Tropical at times, but it is not a Salsa station. That may work in Katyzuela, but salsa is kind of an insecticide for listeners from Mexico and northern Central America.Lean? I listened to Power over the weekend and the station aired lots of salsa, a small amount of cumbia and merengue, and reggaetón / pop filled the other 65% of the playlist.
I do know that outside of a few areas (Veracruz is the most notable that pops into my mind) there are very few areas with decently performing Tropical stations in Mexico. That may work in Katyzuela, but salsa is kind of an insecticide for listeners from Mexico and northern Central America.
And those are mostly "Mexican" tropical which is based on the Colombian Cumbia. From the Sonora Santanera to the Ángeles Azules.I do know that outside of a few areas (Veracruz is the most notable that pops into my mind) there are very few areas with decently performing Tropical stations in Mexico.

You probably heard 93.7, that’s the station they broadcast in New Orleans.Romance 99.5 is now frequently promoting their “new home” on 91.5 and 102.5. I am hearing the format on both of those frequencies, and it is still going on 99.5.
I did tune in at one point just as the air talent was mentioning something about 97.3, but I missed the context. Never heard any further reference about that.
