- WYRD-FM is down slightly, but still a BIG powerhouse of crazy talk.
- But I also see that SC Public Radio is up again, continuing a nice trend. It could be: 1) people are getting tired of the same old conservative BS on WORD and/or 2) with so much talk about the administration planning (and then carrying out) cuts to NPR/PBS, that it sparked some renewed interest in public radio.
- Nice to see B93.7 up slightly and beating Hot for a change. I haven't been listening. Have they made any musical changes?
- Has anyone been listening to Magic on WFBC-HD4 (or WYRD-HD2?) It actually sounds pretty good and near zero commercials, which is great! Much hipper than Magic ever was. But I find it odd that there are zero liners between songs. ??? Only the top of the hour ID. It's almost annoying.
But, that HD station on a few minor translators, is actually climbing! 0.3, but still, it's showing.
BTW, in nearby Asheville, the public radio station there, WCQS is owning that town. While they pretty much always did well, they are the clear #1 and that could relate to my observation that there is a renewed interest in NPR. Even WNCW, which is rather bizarre in their music at times, has also had a pretty huge increase. Could it be their relation to NPR? (They run Morning Edition IIRC)
