I heard 107.1 The Boss play Shawn Mendes the other day from 2015 which isn't classic hits. Why?
Agreed. It's a gold based Hot A/C.They're calling it "Classic Hits and More". It's really more like Hot AC Gold than Classic Hits.
There is a “Recently Played” tab in their online player when you click “Listen Live.”Would love to check out their playlist, but looks like it's not on their site and they're not feeding any of the third-parties (onlineradiobox.com, etc.)
What is JLKs format? There is a “Recently Played” tab in their online player when you click “Listen Live.”
Given that they refer to the morning show as the “Boss Big Show” and that their PD, Robby Bridges, worked with Scott Shannon at PLJ, it seems like they’re trying to channel that 90s/00s PLJ vibe. The imaging and music give that impression, too.
I give them credit for trying something different. JLK is no longer Hot AC, so they can include some of those newer songs and still have a unique position in the market. It seems to be working.
Full-blown CHR at this point. What is JLKs format?
And sometimes at night JLK and PST play the same playlist as if they are simulcasting.Full-blown CHR at this point.
Most likely national logs, as most Townsquare stations run.And sometimes at night JLK and PST play the same playlist as if they are simulcasting.
They should simulcast their signals overlap. And sometimes at night JLK and PST play the same playlist as if they are simulcasting.
Kind of. WJLK and WPST are currently running the same logs in afternoon drive and nights when both air Matt Ryan and Townsquare's Pop Crush Nights. Most likely national logs, as most Townsquare stations run.
They target completely different markets for advertising revenue. And very few listeners are aware of both. They should simulcast their signals overlap.
Correct. I meant it in reference to the night show. Some stations have local control as needed.Kind of. WJLK and WPST are currently running the same logs in afternoon drive and nights when both air Matt Ryan and Townsquare's Pop Crush Nights.
