The political rhetoric is so high right now I expect more of this to occur. Sad times we are living in.I was not especially a fan of his but nobody should be shot and killed for political reasons.
I've never owned a gun nor had a desire to, but I blame the killer, not the gun.
RIP Charlie Kirk.
Wish people could just turn off the channel for people they don't like. The political rhetoric is so high right now I expect more of this to occur. Sad times we are living in.
It's more social media, not TV.Wish people could just turn off the channel for people they don't like.
Bringing this back to the radio angle, this sucks for Salem.
The motive is when you promote hate, don't be surprised if someone acts on it.This eerily reminds me of the killing of Alan Berg at KOA during the 1980s. Berg, in a mirror image of Kirk, was a rising star of the left on commercial talk radio before being killed by a right-wing extremist. Once a suspect is apprehended, then maybe we will learn more about the motive behind Kirk's murder.
In 2019, he launched The Charlie Kirk Show, a daily podcast and radio program that became one of the most downloaded political shows on Apple Podcasts. The platform increased his influence and visibility, seating him opposite elected officials and other conservative media superstars. He also authored several books, including The MAGA Doctrine (2020), which positioned him as a leading interpreter of Trump’s policies for a younger generation.
Videos in which he debated liberals or others that did not share his political opinions consistently garnered millions of views on digital platforms.
But as he found success in digital media, he also slowly embraced some of the conservative mainstream. He began hosting a radio show, The Charlie Kirk Show, in 2020 for Salem Radio Network, and earlier this year he stepped in as a guest host on the weekend edition of Fox & Friends.
Kirk did not promote hate; he was a proponent of America's economic and political system and pointed out the uniform and universal failures of socialist systems throughout the world. The motive is when you promote hate, don't be surprised if someone acts on it.

Salem is a purveyor of hate and inflammatory political rhetoric. Charlie Kirk was a high profile part of both the traditional and social media hate-media ecosystems that fuel the overheated political division in America. He was also a Second Amendment crusader who proclaimed “some gun deaths” are okay to protect Second Amendment rights. Some would say you reap what you sow.
