They might turn it on occasionally, or running a long wire, while they get things fixed.
On a side note, I noticed a Facebook post a week ago from Civic Media about one of their recent acquisitions, the WELY stations in Ely, MN. They proudly posted pics of the new FM transmitter being delivered and installed. Good for Civic Media for rescuing a small, well-loved rural operation that had seen quite a bit of turmoil over the years. They've seen plenty of owners over the years, even including the late Charles Kuralt, up to the most recent owners, the local Ojibwe tribal reservation, who took the stations dark and put them on the selling block. Sage Weil, the owner of Civic Media, obviously has deep pockets and an impressive desire to make small town radio work, and I absolutely respect that.
