How many stations used Casey's shoutouts as legal ID's? I know WMC-FM 100 in Memphis used it for years.

...and, I was a snot-nosed punk listening to that each week while I lived there. Fun times.Back in the 1970s, I worked for KACY/1520 in Port Hueneme (Oxnard-Ventura market) CA. We ran AT40 on Sunday morning and called the regular format "KC-152".
Custom TOH during AT40 was "This is Casey ... on 'KC' ... KACY, Port Hueneme."
Weird hearing Casey do an ID for the Hartford station running classic AT40. WTIC-FM 96.5 ran his Casey's Top 40 show from 1989 onward. They never carried AT 40 here.
Agreed! They're one of the highlights of the program for me. It's so cool to think about some board-op spinning those LPs on-air...It's one of the cooler things about listening to AT 40 reruns. Those shoutouts are like a who's who of radio stations gone by.
