I agree with you 100%.
IF there is any change at Star 94, I think they might dial back the hip-hop and urban content a tick or two and throw in a few more 90s pop/dance hits. The 1990s were chock full of dance hits, even though there was no CHR in Atlanta to play them for most of the 1990s. A lot of that music was largely ignored in this market, but those songs would resonate with transplants who come from better CHR markets, like New York and Miami.
A "Jack" or straight-up variety hits format would be a major reset just when Star's ratings are starting to show some signs of life.
