Myrtle Beach, SC – Augusta Radio Fellowship Institute’s Good News Network has filed a $150,000 deal to buy classic country WGTN (1400) and oldies WPIF (1470) from Tim Thomas Broadcasting. The deal also includes the Georgetown, SC-licensed translator W298CO at 107.5 that simulcasts WGTN. And the Georgetown, SC-licensed translator W266DG at 101.1 FM that simulcasts WPIF. Religious broadcaster Good News Network owns 29 stations in the Southeast, but these are its first signals in the Myrtle Beach market. Thomas exits ownership once the sale closes.
