I heard Steve Goddard announce during the Christmas airing of "Goddard's Gold," that the next show would be the last. I didn't believe it (I thought he meant the last show of the year) but turning on KAZG this morning, that show is gone. I haven't checked Goddard's other syndicated outing "The 70's Show with Steve Goddard," (or something like that) but I wouldn't be surprised if that one has bitten the dust as well. While both shows aired in Phoenix on KAZG, both also had small national footprints--I know the first show was being aired on WAFN-fm in Arab, AL (a suburb of Huntsville) and both shows were being aired on Dunsmuir, CA's KZRO-FM.
With regard to the KAZG airing, I figured that when the show was discontinued, KAZG might move its second airing of "American Top 40 - The 70s," with Casey Kasem back to 9am to noon from the noon to 3pm slot it's holding now. However, that time hasn't changed, leading me to suspect KAZG must now have some local advertisers willing to support the show at the noon start time slot.
