The programming of a station via MusicMaster or Selector is, in my entire experience, never delegated to the IT guy. Generally, all the rules, category assignments, rotations, clocks, music updates are done by the PD (or the MD if anyone has one today). What did I write? "You tell your I.T. guy what changes need to be made and an hour later it's done." That's delegation of the scut work, not the decision making. Which goes on in business all the time. "I'm not good at this technical work (i.e., I can't be bothered with that boring stuff), so let the computer guy handle it." Since I've been "the computer guy" in a lot of places, I've been on the receiving end of such delegating many times, it's part of the gig.
Setting up the way your music scheduler works is a core job of the PD.
I really doubt that Bill Drake and Ron Jacobs had the engineer at KHJ set up the music rotations, either.
When a post is jut wrong, it needs correction. If you (and BigA) would learn to read for comprehension, which includes recognizing when someone is injecting a bit of humor or sarcasm into the discussion, maybe you both wouldn't be closing in on SEVENTY THOUSAND messages each. Not every freaking point necessitates you correcting it to show how much more you know.
