Here is the response by Jimmy Kimmel over being targeted by the White House.
Nexstar and Sinclair were being threatened with a blank screen instead of college football games by ABC. The announcements by both companies coming on a Friday afternoon before a big football weekend was not a sudden "come to Jesus" moment. Screw with the SEC, you're screwing with the mob.good job to ABC for putting their legal foot down and telling Nexstar and Sinclaire to stop pre-empting their programing just because they do not like what the host says.

In a statement obtained by PEOPLE, an Amazon spokesperson says the show is not in active development and that "any reporting on details of the show or names of potential hosts would be purely speculative.”
“Since our acquisition of MGM, we have had preliminary internal discussions about what’s next for The Apprentice as a property," the spokesperson says.
In 2015, Trump — who served as host and executive producer — departed from the show as he focused on his political career. NBC cut ties with him after comments he made about Mexican immigrants. Arnold Schwarzenegger later took on hosting duties for The Celebrity Apprentice in 2017 for one season before his own departure.
In an interview with Empire at the time, per the BBC, Schwarzenegger argued that an anti-Trump social media campaign impacted the show's ratings when he took over. He also said he'd decline if asked to host again.
"When people found out that Trump was still involved as executive producer and was still receiving money from the show, then half the people [started] boycotting it," he said at the time. "It's not about the show ... because everyone I ran into came up to me and said, 'I love the show ... but I turned it off because as soon as I read Trump's name I'm outta there!'"
The proposal has Donald Trump Jr as their host for Apprentice. But Trump Jr has to deal with the same controversies in the White House with Trump Sr.
I was thinking if thats the case about rebooting the Apprentice its going to raise the "Conflicts of Interest" issues surrounding the entire Trump family if it goes through. Also a president running a reality TV show and the White House is a bad idea given the reason why the Apprentice was cancelled the last time it was on the air. If Amazon is really serious about rebooting the Apprentice they would have to get somebody not related to the Trump White House for that to happen.I'm hoping that someone at Amazon has noticed that Trump Jr. is sorely lacking in the whole "charisma" thing that made his father a decent host. Jr. was a second banana at best. Ivanka? She could pull it off (maybe), but she seems to be laying low lately. Eric? This is a question Donald himself often asks. "Eric?"
But who would watch an Apprentice reboot now if a Trump isn't involved? It wasn't just the concept of apprentices trying to please a demanding boss that drew viewers to the series. It was the fact that the apprentices were vying for the approval of Donald Trump.I was thinking if thats the case about rebooting the Apprentice its going to raise the "Conflicts of Interest" issues surrounding the entire Trump family if it goes through. True but then again it belongs in the some things should not be rebooted again type scenario. But who would watch an Apprentice reboot now if a Trump isn't involved? At the risk of derailing the discussion even more...True but then again it belongs in the some things should not be rebooted again type scenario.

I was thinking Jeff Bezos given his ownership of Amazon, MGM and Washington Post can do a show thats "Apprentice Like" but with the same framework as that show if Amazon is really serious about doing stuff like that. Or Andy Jassy Amazon's current CEO could do the reboot. Yes I mean if Amazon is really serious about rebooting a show that means they cannot use the Trumps as hosts because of the conflict of interest issues and boycott threats surrounding the White House in the Trump era.Well...how about elon Musk. I can see it now (in my mind's eye, at least):
COME AND WATCH NOW WHO THAT GUY WHO GOT RID OF ALL THOSE GOVERNMENT WORKERS WILL FIRE NEXT!
From the quoted article BigA linked:About time ABC call this out. The FCC needs to respect the first amendment rights and freedom of speech.
What Remains Unclear: The FCC hasn’t responded publicly to the insinuation that it is unequally applying the current rules.
Now, hypothetically, what'll happen if the FCC says "null and void" on those eight licenses?
