I live in la and I stream it sometimes...Not a bad station...I loved what use to be the 101.5 the zone and 103.9 the edge and energy 101.1
So, back when Dave Pratt was doing afternoons on The Zone, this kid they called "Hot Patrick" was...a fan...to put it mildly. He would call in a lot, and even sent a pic of himself in his underwear to Karen Lindsey.I live in la and I stream it sometimes...Not a bad station...I loved what use to be the 101.5 the zone and 103.9 the edge and energy 101.1
I want to like this station, but I feel it’s not doing its job with “music discovery.” It’s more repetitive than a lot of the other big AAAs across the country, and not as adventurous in finding new music from up and coming artists, which is a disappointment since this is being helmed by the father of the format. I find myself streaming AAA stations from other markets. It's a shame really. Their playlist is actually really good all things considered.

Also, based on its whole “AI infused” concept, it makes it more difficult to break new local music and is not able to have “studio sessions.”

They did show up in the previous two months (February and March) at 0.1, but didn't show up in the period covering the month of April.I saw elsewhere KZON HD2 receive a 0.1 share.
In other words, prepping listeners for KWSS-LP or streaming KXCI or KCRW from out of town. (Since they're probably not going to get the demo that's tuned in to the 90's alt "mold" over on 93.3)
One other site that shows the monthly 6+ for free has a 0.1, but Lance has a no-show. Don't know which one is right. They did show up in the previous two months (February and March) at 0.1, but didn't show up in the period covering the month of April.
I've been streaming WFUV, KCMP, WRLT, and occasionally WXPN. All have better variety than The Zone. And real human DJs too.
Three of those four stations are non-coms. That may explain the variety. Lightning 100 is basically a hobby station.
This is a format that belongs on a non-com, where the listeners pay rather than advertisers.
WRLT feels like a passion project for a wealthy owner, but it's not a "jukebox on shuffle" like other "hobby stations" such as KCDX or KRKY-FM. Not a lot of paid spots, and the ones they have are local mom-and-pop shops. It's a great sounding station, I'm not denying that. I've got to give it to them for running a professional operation, all the way to the streaming provider they use, given the limited resources they have. WDST is kind of the same way, but they do a better job on the sales end.Three of those four stations are non-coms. That may explain the variety. Lightning 100 is basically a hobby station.

WXRT is the #1 station in Chicago. KINK in Portland is also doing well, but they "watered down" their playlist to get there. While there are still quite a few AAA stations in the commercial sector doing okay (KBCO-FM in the Denver market immediately comes to mind), it is not a growing format. Younger listeners are just not into either the variety or diversity of music these stations play, and acoustic-oriented rock seems to be very much out of the window these days.
I see that. Maybe @lanceventa can clear this up.One other site that shows the monthly 6+ for free has a 0.1, but Lance has a no-show. Don't know which one is right.
Should be there now. Was an inadvertent technical glitch blocking the bottom line.I see that. Maybe @lanceventa can clear this up.

It shows up now in the table. Thanks for fixing it.Should be there now. Was an inadvertent technical glitch blocking the bottom line.
And if everyone else sees it now, the fix I was provided for the cache issues should be resolved as well...
