Central Jersey Dennis Malloy returns to WKXW, Eric Johnson rises to OM

An interesting story. Someone decides to un-retire. But it turns out he just needed a multi-month break? He had been doing fill ins here and there after his retirement last year.

BTW, if you add the cume ratings for NJ 101.5 in both NYC and Philadelphia, WKXW is either the #1 or #2 talk station in the country, alongside KFI Los Angeles. As David pointed out before when discussing NJ 101.5, two of its largest counties, Mercer and Hunterdon, are neither in the NYC or Philadelphia metros. WABC would be #3.

He didn't decide to un-retire. The station asked him to come back, likely because it had nobody else willing to fill the timeslot.

They may have asked him to return. But it is still an unretirement. He could have said, no, I like my quiet life. I'll just continue doing fill ins.

After all, he left for a reason. I think it was his choice. I believe they had a farewell. And he moved to Florida if I'm not mistaken. So I assume Judi will do the show from the studios in Ewing NJ unless she also gets to work from home.

Judi has been doing the show from her home 95% of the time for quite a while now. If Dennis really did move to Florida, then it'll be the producer in studio managing two remote feeds
