How long do we think it will take Trump to have Commissioner Anna Gomez removed from the FCC?
Sooner than we considered and always for the craziest ways.
How long do we think it will take Trump to have Commissioner Anna Gomez removed from the FCC?
CBS News president Wendy McMahon is out.
The other part of this story is Kamala Harris. She is as much a target of this as CBS and 60 Minutes. The Trump campaign continually said that she was avoiding interviews or press conferences. They said she was bad at interviews, so she didn't do them. This gives them access to the raw interview so they can revive that attack on her.

107 days: Kamala Harris has yet to do formal press conference since emerging as Democratic nominee
Vice President Kamala Harris hasn’t held a formal press conference with reporters since she became the presumptive and now official Democratic nominee.www.foxnews.com
The fact is she instead did lots of informal press conferences at campaign stops, often with the local media, as well as regular "gaggles" with the traveling press. She also spoke with Fox News towards the end of the campaign.
May 20 (Reuters) - A group of senators sent a letter to Paramount Global (PARA.O), opens new tab chair Shari Redstone on Monday, seeking information about the CBS News owner's efforts to settle a lawsuit with U.S. President Donald Trump.
Senators Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and Ron Wyden are questioning whether Paramount's potential attempts to resolve the high profile lawsuit could violate federal anti-bribery laws, according to the letter seen by Reuters.
CBS News faces a $20 billion lawsuit from Trump over its editing of a "60 Minutes" interview in October 2024 with then-Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
This lawsuit is seen as a major roadblock to the Paramount and Skydance Media merger, according to some analysts.
Paramount has also entered mediation in April to try and settle the lawsuit. The $8.4 billion merger requires approval from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.
The federal agency has authority over the transaction because it needs to approve the transfer of the broadcast television licenses held by CBS. The deal was extended for 90 days, as the companies await regulatory approval.

Wonder if they would be able to outright block the merger from happening? Surprised all this didn't happen with Time Warner/AT&T.The fact is that the Paramount Global merger was scheduled to close last month. Only one reason that it hasn't:
As a long time shareholder of AT&T I wished they had blocked it. Entertainment and telecom don't always mix (ask Comcast). Direct TV was a distraction. Had that money been spent on fiber for business and homes they could have gave Comcast serious competition as an ISP. If you do the math 5G can never replace broadband unless you literally have multiple "mini" cell sites in each existing cell site.Wonder if they would be able to outright block the merger from happening? Surprised all this didn't happen with Time Warner/AT&T.
Trump wants all media to be "State Media" meaning he wants a proper formal state run propaganda network, right now, Fox News, Newsmax, OANN and other conservate media outlets are de facto state run network producing Trump approved Propaganda.Apparently the president is playing hardball with Paramount:

Trump rejects Paramount's $15 million offer to settle CBS News lawsuit, demands apology
Fox News Digital confirmed that President Donald Trump rejected a $15 million settlement offer by Paramount Global hoping to end the months-long legal drama.www.foxnews.com
This lawsuit is holding up the sale, and therefore costing Sheri Redstone money. The proper thing to do now is to sue the president for causing the holdup. The company made a good faith effort to settle. Now it's time to play offense.
