100.3/The Buzzard & Rock92

I must have stepped through the looking glass with Alice. Then again, my ear has been stopped up for days, even after I finally gave in and took something. And that's when it happened. "Someday" by Nickelback was on Rock 92 and "Tom Sawyer" by Rush was on The Buzzard.

That's not the weirdest thing. Just before that, Lite 102.9 was playing "*** On Feel the Noize" by Quiet Riot.

Is there a seger/skynard group even left? I know the redneck crowd probably still whoops and hollers. But, after 40 years, do most people still want to hear that crap, over, and over, over for the 2 millionth time? All that 70's music needs to be relagated to the rest home. 90's should be the new classic, and even that should be just a couple of songs an hour, maybe three. ???

Consultants say yes, and they know better than you and I do! (Hiding from Eduardo)

Do they have an on air staff or were they all let go?
They have Matt Pencola & Tim Satterfield. Pencola's been responsible for locally producing JB&B up until they were no longer carried by WVBZ back in Feb/March. Satterfield's been tracking afternoons (if you could call it that---2 hrs worth of sweepers a day). But my guess is that Pencola will be again locally hosting some syndicated/tracked morning show, and Satterfield will be off air completely (sans some weekend stuff).

Just a guess. The new Buzzard 09 should be good musically, at least a sh*t ton better than it was, and something they should have done YEARS ago.

Did they go active?, their playlist for the last 2 hours looks like it, that would be awesome if they did. Ive been dying for a new rock station here

I was going through Greensboro to and from my trip to Myrtle Beach last week, all I heard was talk on 92.3,and it doesn't seemed as powerful as it used to be,plus coming from Va putting up with the 2 92.3 frequencies bashing each other, one from K92 in Roanoke.

I did check out 100.3 and noticed a difference from last year on my beach trip.

Here in Va,I have WROV 96.3 and 97.9 The Planet

Hey Terry63,

The mighty & legendary K92 (WXLK) & WROV (The Rock Of Virginia) - what massive, giant, killer, powerhouse, flamethrowing signals - 93 & 17 kw respectively.

They have almost the same coverage areas.

I listen to them when I'm in the GSO area.
