I wondered how they were going to tell people who didn't know and were coming from somewhere else.
North of Marion, I've found I got a good signal from the old WKZQ. You wouldn't expect it, but my experience in Myrtle Beach isn't complete until I've heard something so outrageously bad it's not even music. I did hear that on 96.1, though the signal was not the best. On 101.7, it wasn't clear in Marion but it was listenable. They do play everything. I didn't know Chuck meant Chucktown. Who would have expected a sophisticated place like that to be Chucktown?
I did see a billboard north of Conway which asked, "What's the frequency, Kenneth?" 101.7 was crossed out and replaced with 96.1. The same billboard is also in Conway.
During "Knight Rider" (a good show for them to advertise the station) I saw a commercial with the same message. That show had more bikinis in an hour than I saw in three days. It was warm enough! But most of the females were older, I guess.
