You guys haven't figured it out!oldies76 said:This practice of speeding up music should be obsolete. It sounds horrible and the big question is why?? Maybe on dance / club stations, but anywhere else, get rid of it.
"Every Breath You Take" from 1983 sped up?? Really? Nice way to lose listenership.

They don't want listeners... yet! You have already heard an outline of a timetable for the rollout of the complete takeover. But want to continue to make up your own agendas for what ever reason.
I've been sampling this station from Florida and can tell you that this is something you have to just kick back, wait, and listen - or not.

Find a way to bring Ron Lundy back to life and Dan Ingram and Harry Harrison out of retirement, and then you'll have something.

Why don't they start playing the songs backwards? Or play "more music than the competition" and start 10 songs at the same time.

Utterly false. I know at least 3 who actively refuse to listen to 92.3 for this exact reason and I assure they couldn't be further removed from 'radio'

I think speeding up the music is just something Randy is doing to give us something more to talk about on the boards. He probably reads the NY and Chicago boards every day just to see what we are saying about his two new Stations.
Aug 1st. is just around the corner. Lets see what the station sounds like on Monday. Will the Stunting end? Will the music stay or will it be gone? How about pitching up the news talk to get more stories in.

How can you listen/sampling in Florida while the station has no livestream yet?
