101.9 in NYC sounds like a Train Wreck

Okay, get the point about people watching levels. But there ARE programs and plugins to process these things before they go up on the web. That's where I fail to understand. All of my clients have nicely processed web streams, whether it's using Breakaway, Omnia AX/E or a hardware box. If something is a podcast, it gets leveled with a preset on a 4 band compressor plugin in Adobe.

That's just sloppy QC to have that problem.

101.9 has a great promotion opportunity during this hurricane. There will be a ton of folks listening to their battery powered radios who normally listen to radio very little, if at all. Especially today's youth who don't know the AM band exists. If they simply do an excellent job covering the storm, they will make their way on to people's presets. 101.9 is next to some potential competition on the dial (WCBS and WWFS may simulcast the CBS AM news stations and NJ 101.5 is well established), so they need to stand out!
