WHOOHOOO!!! WELCOME BACK 101 THE ROSE!!!! 8) I have been listening all day to the wonderful sounds of them once again!!! They sound better than ever. I am so happy right now to have my station back in its normal form once again!!! My friend Deiter who lives in Lititz called me at midnight and told me the wonderful news. I was not even going to try them back until the 1st of the year when I heard the all XMAS yesterday but he felt something good was going to happen last night and it did. :)

Once again the best station in Central PA/world is back!!! :)

Me and my friends are going to get together in Lititz after my shift at 11PM to have a few drinks on The Rose and listen to them all night!!! There is nothing like a great party on something so damn hot as The Rose!!! I probably will have a horrible hangover by tomorrow though! :-X

XOXO The Rose. :-* :-*

Perhaps we should cut back on the caffeine?

It's a real shame all the crap the Rose gets about their month of Christmas music. The way the world is today, a month of kind-hearted, loving, genuine Christmas spirit and song is really an awful thing, isn't it?

Is this guy for real or just pulling our leg?

She's for real, Christie's a Rose SuperFan! We had one at Z-107, a dude named
Robert, who lived in Dillsburg(?). He loved John Denver, but only Dandelion spun
JD songs, during her overnight show.

Is Dandelion still alive? Thats a name from the past.

BTW--I know two brothers who climbed the Z-107 tower several years ago and didn't get caught!

Well, when I lived out your way, I never got excited about The Rose. When we do go back and accidentally scan 101.3, I remember why. To each his/her own.

Well that is a shame for you that you are missing out on such a great radio station but it is okay!!! It doesn't matter to me, I will adore them and you will just pass them by.

To Aging Xer, thanks for everything!!! U rock!

BTW, I am a fan but not phanatical where I would do something those people did for Z107, now that is ludacris!!! I have seen The Rose's office when driving on Rt 230 one time. Did I jump over their towers, go into the office and scream "I LOVE YOU GUYS" and tackle Michael C? Nope and I never would do that because I have a job to do every afternoon and evening from 3P-11P and they (The Rose) has a job to do and that is play the great music they do. I would be interfering with that if I did some kind of action like stated above. There are ways to express how much you love something without being too crazy. I haven't even gone to a location yet with them because I have so much on my plate with school, work, and not to mention the boyfriend ( :-* to Brian) and my friends. The best way to support them is to advertise them, talk about them, and most of all LISTEN TO THEM!!!

For Former Xer, The Rose did an awesome job from what I heard of the XMAS music!!! I LISTEN to The Rose for the SOFT ROCK, their formatted music, not the XMAS music! It was good for the XMAS parties but not a daily diet for me, hence I said for me. It may not be the case for others and I hope whoever did tune in enjoyed it (because The Rose is class act with whatever they do), but I am in my heaven to know that I have SOFT ROCK now for the next 10.5 months! This is what makes The Rose the best in the Central PA/world (IMHO).

BTW, THAT PARTY LAST NIGHT WAS HOT! I still am reeking from a bad headache and have a HUGE craving for sugar but its all good and listening to The Rose all night was awesome. We had 70 people all in age range (20-30) show up for it. Deiter, Denny, Jess, and Alicia had their coworkers, friends, etc come out for it. We could have had more had we give more advance notice.

Hellskitchen, I'm glad you like the station. Its just not my type of music. Sounds like you had a nice time last night too with them. As for my buddies who climbed the tower, well they lived near there, and well who knows why they would so something so silly. Thats a HUGE tower.

SteelRocker, understood! It is just like I would never listen to a country station! Also, that is some crazy stuff with your buddies. I have to admit that had to have been an adventure. I bet it is a big tower, I can remeber passing underneath radio towers on top of Lehigh Tunnel on the NE Extension going from Allentown to Wilkes-Barre. Ah, the days of hanging out at Woodlands.

We did have an awesome time, well to me anything with The Rose is hot, but I got together last night with a few people I didn't know so they are going to come now to my U of D parties and of course we will have The Rose blaring through the brand new stereo that Alicia hooked up to the computer to amplify the sound.

TODDMAYOR, if you do not like The Rose or this section please DO NOT post here again! It is obvious what you think of me and the station so don't put negative comments anymore.

why are you so in love with this guy. he's a yucker that does know when to hit the off button on the board. he has personality but tries too hard.

Todd, you and I go back a few years, so this is nothing I wouldn't say to you face-to-face. These comments are uncalled for and inaccurate, my friend. Besides the fact that Michael is one of my best friends in radio, I believe he's one of the more respectable guys left in Central PA radio. I don't believe that I have ever heard him "yuck" (accept off air when we were joking about someone); in fact, he's one of the more natural jocks in the area. Also, if I were consulting any of the AC stations in the area, Michael would be the last one that I would say suffers from "diarrhea of the mouth;" he covers the breaks well without clouding them with too many thoughts, and he is the same guy on air and off air - there's no over-trying on Michael's part. Additionally, he's one of the better music directors that I've ever worked with. I'd love to run a station with several Michael-Cs.

Management has suspended Todd's account. I don't think we'll see him back any time soon.

Sanity reigns! Thank goodness. That fellow could make enemies at a Dale Carnegie class.

Scoot, I couldn't have said it any better and matter of fact you WOULD say it better than me because you know Michael C. Anthony more than I do. Thanks so much for sticking by him (your friend) and my favorite jock on The Rose. I always have a great time listening to him and he is always upbeat, something that is hard to find. He does better than me. Michael is just a "diamond in the ruff" and like I have said we are fortunate as Rose listeners to have him everyday on the air and also as our Music Director who does a great job with an otherwise slow AC list. The Rose is the BEST station I HAVE EVER HEARD! I have heard many over my travels from Canada all the way to the California Coast and I have never heard such great music until The Rose. 2006 was a great year.

John Summers, welcome back to this section? When will you be on The Rose again? Love to hear you. I agree sanity reigns.

Thanks to Aging Xer and Steel Rocker for keeping it REAL!!! Thanks for participating in this the BEST section on radio-info.com. IMHO.

BTW, what an awesome way to end the year Rose, with the ALL 80's flashback weekend. I love the 80's! This will be so cool to hear a few days of nothing but straight 80's music. I personally have that as my fav decade for music so this will be fun to say the least. However, I will be up in NYC Sunday Night and Monday Morning (WPLJ land, my nighttime station cause I am not a Delilah fan), so I will miss them but I will listen the rest of Monday and of course tomorrow to them. Anytime I can get to listen to them, I do.

The Rose will continue to be my favorite, best, and for the most part besides nights my ONLY radio station. Cheers to 2007 and thanks for the great times in 2006.

hellskitchen85, you have almost 30 reply's to this same topic?

Nothing wrong with that, when you got something that great, gotta have fun! Yes, I am proud of everyone of these posts and will keep chugging along. BTW, it was friggin so cool I heard the Rolling Stontes "Start Me Up" on The Rose, hot stuff! 8)

Also, Steel Rocker, what would I dress up as, as literal Rose? Well, I don't need to be a mascot as per say, I could just get a t-shirt with their name on it and go around with it on. I have the looks to make it look hot!

A tip of the hat to PD Tom Shannon for the 80's weekend! I'm really enjoying all the great "long lost" 80's tunes, many of which haven't seen the light of day since the 80's. Hope you are well, my friend...

Yea a Rose T-Shirt, and, since the station is in Lancaster Co., it has to be red rose.

Wish I could have listened to the 80s weekend, as long as it included lots of the B-52's, The Cars and Blondie and some new wave music.

Happy New Years from Pittsburgh.
