why are you so in love with this guy. he's a yucker that does know when to hit the off button on the board. he has personality but tries too hard.
Todd, you and I go back a few years, so this is nothing I wouldn't say to you face-to-face. These comments are uncalled for and inaccurate, my friend. Besides the fact that Michael is one of my best friends in radio, I believe he's one of the more respectable guys left in Central PA radio. I don't believe that I have ever heard him "yuck" (accept off air when we were joking about someone); in fact, he's one of the more natural jocks in the area. Also, if I were consulting any of the AC stations in the area, Michael would be the last one that I would say suffers from "diarrhea of the mouth;" he covers the breaks well without clouding them with too many thoughts, and he is the same guy on air and off air - there's no over-trying on Michael's part. Additionally, he's one of the better music directors that I've ever worked with. I'd love to run a station with several Michael-Cs.
Scoot, I couldn't have said it any better and matter of fact you WOULD say it better than me because you know Michael C. Anthony more than I do. Thanks so much for sticking by him (your friend) and my favorite jock on The Rose. I always have a great time listening to him and he is always upbeat, something that is hard to find. He does better than me. Michael is just a "diamond in the ruff" and like I have said we are fortunate as Rose listeners to have him everyday on the air and also as our Music Director who does a great job with an otherwise slow AC list. The Rose is the BEST station I HAVE EVER HEARD! I have heard many over my travels from Canada all the way to the California Coast and I have never heard such great music until The Rose. 2006 was a great year.
John Summers, welcome back to this section? When will you be on The Rose again? Love to hear you. I agree sanity reigns.
Thanks to Aging Xer and Steel Rocker for keeping it REAL!!! Thanks for participating in this the BEST section on radio-info.com. IMHO.
BTW, what an awesome way to end the year Rose, with the ALL 80's flashback weekend. I love the 80's! This will be so cool to hear a few days of nothing but straight 80's music. I personally have that as my fav decade for music so this will be fun to say the least. However, I will be up in NYC Sunday Night and Monday Morning (WPLJ land, my nighttime station cause I am not a Delilah fan), so I will miss them but I will listen the rest of Monday and of course tomorrow to them. Anytime I can get to listen to them, I do.
The Rose will continue to be my favorite, best, and for the most part besides nights my ONLY radio station. Cheers to 2007 and thanks for the great times in 2006.
