So apparently the WMYI transmitter move to the WESC tower is complete, as quoted from another post below.
Can anyone report a change in signal strength at their location?
Likely a signal loss in the NC mountains closer to Asheville and heading north,
but a signal gain across the Upstate, especially Anderson & Oconee County.
I do kinda notice a slight gain in signal strength inside my Gaffney home.
I'll likely be in Asheville next week so I can find out how the signal is, if any different there.
The cities of Seneca/Walhalla SC have the largest signal gain, a full 10 dBu, according to the Radio-Locator map.
Cities NW to NE of the new site have about a 5-10 dBu loss, Cities east & SE have about a 5 dBu gain,
and those south and SW have up to a 10 dBu gain. Little to no change due westward from the new site.
The new transmitter is about 7 miles SW of the old site.
Here are the radio-locator coverage maps for comparison:

jamesb said:Hi! Craig is partially correct. I WAS installing the WMYI equipment at the 92.5 site. Smack in the middle of it, the WESC Hybrid Digital transmitter's tube shorted and the intermediate power amplifier completely failed and had to go back to Dallas, Texas. The 92.5 site required that all electrical power be removed a few times while electricians 98% rewired the place. Thus, the auxiliary tower site. Otherwise, we ran on the original main transmitter at the Caesar's Head tower site. WESC's Hybrid Digital transmitter is back on as of this morning and WMYI FM is transmitting from that location. I'm kinda tired.- Jim Graham
I'm here as Jamesb 'cause I forgot my original login information. Thought I filed it away. Musta thought wrong.
