102.9 "THEN"

What happened to NOW?

Simple Minds - Don't You Forget About Me
Third Eye Blind - Semi Charmed Life
U2 - Beautiful Day
Justin Timberlake -Sexy Back
Santana - Smooth/f. Rob Thomas
Madonna - Like a Prayer

Looks like they are "mix"ing in some older stuff. ;D

Everybody that I know still calls it "Mix 102.9" including myself..They should just go back to the same name..Especially since they are playing the older stuff again

I think the NOW coincides with the digital billboards was the idea. Clear Channel's digital Bboard system around DFW can throw up 10 second splash to traffic saying "Where have you been Rhianna? She's on NOW 102.9 FM, right now" to force the jump. Makes sense, looks like it's working

As I've said many times before, I'm not in the business, just an avid radio listen.

The conversion to the NOW format has been an epic failure from my point of view, and yes, they are going back to older songs that they used to play on MIX 102.9.

And I still can't stand Christopher and his gawd-awful British accent !! Go back to the UK, PLEASE !!

I'm still trying to figure out what format "NOW" is using. No one around here won't give me a staright answer.

From Wikipedia:

On May 18, 2012, KDMX rebranded as 102.9 Now[3], dropping most modern AC artists, and shifted to an adult top 40 format. However, as of October 2012, KDMX surreptitiously returned to Hot AC. Some of the Modern AC artists have returned to the station's roster, dropping the few hip hop artists that were featured since the slow transition from "Mix" to "Now".

But whoever is running the ship will NEVER admit they made a HUGE mistake by switching to "NOW". They really ought to just give up and go back to calling it "Mix 102.9", and of course, FIRE CHRISTOPHER !!
