You know, just for $**t$ and giggles, why not put 50's, 60's and 70's as "Oldies 103.3" on the HD3, similar to what KRTH in Los Angeles with their HD2 as "K-Earth Classics"? Hey, it couldn't hurt and some people MAY buy some HD Radios for once.
Very few of the people who lament the loss of the more recent Classic Hits version of WODS (late '60s, '70s, '80s) are even aware that they can hear the music playlist on WODS HD2, if they even know what an HD radio is.
It's like all the people who have been saying for three years that WBCN "died" in 2009 and have no idea that TWO WBCN's are on HD radio. A few listen to them online, but most think that they are no longer on the air in any form. Most of the nearly 5000 people who have joined the WBCN Facebook page think it's some sort of "tribute page" to the old WBCN, ignore the information and links to listen to the current online and HD radio versions, and just keep lamenting that it's "dead". Only about 100 people on average listen to the "WBCN Free Form Rock" stream, and far fewer to it on HD radio.
No one has posted on the (old) WODS Facebook page for a while, but most of them were just lamenting that they were "gone", and asking "what does HD2 mean"?
