Does it compare to any other burger place? I DO love Harvey's, but If I could, I'd gladly trade a few locations for a Jack in the Box or a White Castle! (never been to those places, only hear they're great!)
Apologies for the continuing hijack of the thread...
I'd compare the Harvey's product as being closest to In-And-Out Burger in California. By that I mean truly "flavorful". Although I think Harvey's burgers are frozen, while In And Out is fresh. In-And-Out has a MUCH simpler menu. Anything you want as long as what you want is a burger and fries. Harvey's has more offerings, but you can still customize your "basic" burger to your own personal taste from a fresh...or at least "somewhat fresh"...bar. Harvey's also has the best fries of any fast food place. I'm not a fan of the sliders at White Castle, and while Jack's puts out a pretty good product, I personally can take or leave it. But Harvey's....I won't go out of my way, but I'll make it a point to stop.
Unfortunately, I've heard that the parent company is de-emphasizing the brand to concentrate on Swiss Chalet and Kelsey's. I hope that's not true. I'm not a fan of Swiss Chalet at all. And while Kelsey's is a fun, relaxing place, the food strikes me as average at best.
(And when I found myself in another "grab & go" situation today...I had another Harvey's burger for lunch!)
